After an extensive search the crews were stood down, but while returning to station were retasked to a vessel aground in Portsmouth Harbour.

The 19ft sailing boat had run aground in Spider Lake and had unsuccessfully attempted to refloat at high tide.

The yacht, which had two people on board, was stuck fast in the mud. They were uninjured and helped on to the lifeboat while their yacht was anchored safely.
