FIRESTARTERS are being hunted by police after four vehicles were found ablaze.

It took firefighters almost an hour and a half to douse the flames on Boundary Walk, Knowle Village, near Fareham, in the early hours of Saturday.

The fire engulfed two cars, a van and a motorbike and has been branded as an arson attack by police.

One crew from Fareham was called just after 4am and worked until 5.30am to make the area safe.

Police arrived at the incident at 4.24am.

There were no injuries and no people around.

Both cars involved and the motorbike were severely damaged as a result of the fire and there was minor damage to the van.

Firefighters say they are treating the incident as suspicious and carrying out further investigations.

Police are helping with the investigation to identify who was responsible.
