Emails expose ‘fractious relationship’ between council leaders over Solent devolution

TWO young men were rescued after getting lost in Chichester Harbour as the tide swept in.

Selsey Coastguard and Hayling Island RNLI were called out at about 10pm last night to rescue two men at Snowhill Creek, a marshy area near West Wittering.

A spokesman for the coastguard said: ‘A call came in about two lads who were lost and disorientated.

‘They had just gone for a walk and tried to make a shortcut.

‘They managed to get themselves in quite a dangerous predicament with a rising tide.’

By 10.45pm the men, aged in their early 20s, had been located by the lifeboat and they were brought to dry land.
