OUR commitment to reporting on local news will be stepped up next week – with the launch of new editions of The News.
From Wednesday we will move from producing three daily editions to four – with Fareham and Gosport being split in two to have editions more focused on providing news and sport from each of these towns and its surrounding communities.
These two editions will run along the current Portsmouth and Havant & Waterlooville editions but we will continue to review where we distribute our papers to ensure we provide better coverage tailored to your area.
Although most of our staff are based in our head office in The News Centre in Hilsea we have always set great store on the coverage we can provide across our ‘patch’ with reporters working out of offices in Gosport, Fareham and Havant. They work hard every day to bring you the biggest and brightest stories you want to read about. But they can’t know everything that is happening on their news beats... and that’s where you can come in.
If you have any news, snippets of information to share, events that need publicising or any thing else which we agree is newsworthy and worth sharing with other readers make sure you let us know. The more people we have feeding us this information the merrier.
