One person has been taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital after being injured in a multi-car collision.

A second person has also been taken to St Richard’s Hospital, Chichester, following the accident from earlier this morning.

The crash took place on the eastbound carriageway of the A27, between the A259 junction in Emsworth and the A259 Fishbourne Road junction in Chichester.

The outer lane had been blocked while the three cars – Volkswagen Golf, a red Peugeot 206 and a black BMW 320 – were recovered.

The lane was re-opened at 8.15am.

Two crews from Havant fire station were at the scene, along with officers from Hampshire Constabulary and Sussex Police.
