TWO weeks of celebrations in Gosport are set to close with a bang.

The Celebrate! Gosport Grand Finale takes place tomorrow with around a dozen events ending with a firework display.

It will be held at Stokes Bay from 2pm.

Leader of Gosport Borough Council Councillor Mark Hook said: ‘We really hope everyone comes along to take part in the grand finale. I hope people have enjoyed the great attractions and events the local clubs and organisations have demonstrated over the last two weeks.

‘The feedback so far has been positive.’

The event will be brought to a close with a firework display at around 9.30pm.

During the day there will be a fun run, the finals of Gosport’s Got Talent and performances by music and dance groups.

The event will be hosted by Wave 105 presenter and columnist for The News, Rick Jackson.
