FIREFIGHTERS needed to rescue a two-year-old boy who was trapped inside a car.

A crew from Havant fire station was called to the Wickes car park, in Town Way, at 3pm yesterday.

The parents of the toddler accidentally left the car keys in the car and shut the door, which triggered the automatic central locking.

Firefighters prised a door open, before using a hook to retrieve the keys.

The child was uninjured.
