FIVE cars were involved in a rush hour crash on the M275 today.

Two Vauxhall Astras, a Toyota, a Mercedes and a Ford Fiesta, went in to each other at around 5pm.

Hampshire Constabulary closed the inner lane, so the vehicles could be recovered and debris cleared from the road.

One person was treated for minor injuries.

One crew from Southsea and three from Cosham fire station were at the scene on the south bound carriageway of the motorway near to the Rudmore roundabout.

The lane was reopened at 6.30pm.
