Have your say

ARE you looking to get rid of some old clothes and update your style? Now is your chance.

Havant Borough Council has joined forces with Making Space art centre for a Swap and Style on June 4.

Two textile artists will be on hand to give advice and ideas and demonstrate styling techniques to create a unique style and fashion.

To take part, select at least three items of good condition from your wardrobe that you would like to swap and take them to Making Space, in Bishopstoke Road, Leigh Park, between May 16 and May 28.

Holly Traynor, the council’s community development officer for culture, said; ‘In the present economic climate with lower budgets to spend on new fashion and the latest trends, clothes swapping is the way forward.

‘It’s also in keeping with recycling and green initiatives we are constantly trying to adopt as part of our everyday lives. It’s a winning combination for the planet and for you.’
