PEOPLE are being invited to hold a tea party in their home to help fund works at Wymering Manor.

The Wymering Manor Trust and Portsmouth tea retailer All About Tea are joining forces to hold a summer of tea parties to raise funds for works at the historic building.

People can pick up a party pack containing a special blend of Wymering Manor Tea, and hold a tea party at their home for a small charge to
guests.

The trust is holding a launch day at the manor, in Old Wymering Lane, on Saturday at 2pm.

Visitors will have the chance to sample the tea blend and enjoy some cakes.

All the money raised from the tea party will help the Wymering Manor Trust restore the building to its former glory.

Portsmouth North MP Penny Mordaunt, the chairwoman of the trust, said: ‘We’d like to invite everyone to hold a tea party this August to help raise funds to restore the manor.

‘The more money we raise, the more we are able to do and the quicker we can start.’

If you would like to hold your own party, but can’t make the launch event on Saturday, call (023) 9269 7266.
