A PORTSMOUTH company has donated a van to charity.

Mountjoy, the Portsmouth-based building and maintenance support services provider, donated a van to Age UK Portsmouth.

The vehicle will support the charity’s garden maintenance services, helping the elderly and people with disabilities who are struggling to maintain the upkeep of their own gardens.

It will primarily be used to transport the Garden Services team and their equipment in and around Portsmouth.

Managing director David Redman, said: ‘Having a vehicle will not only help the Garden Services Team to get from place to place in a timely fashion, but it will also ensure that they are able to provide a professional service for people who derive great pleasure from their garden.

‘We are hoping the vehicle will open up opportunities to build on their gardening business and to generate further income that can be ploughed back into its existing work.’
