The ‘Vicar of Baghdad’ is coming to Portsmouth to speak about his experiences in the Middle East.

Reverend Canon Andrew White, vicar of the only Anglican church in Baghdad, will be speaking at St Jude’s Church, Southsea.

He will be sharing his experiences of Christianity in Baghdad throughout the ongoing problems.

Brian Futcher, who is organising the event, said: ‘It’s another world out there. To get someone who is actually able to talk about what’s going on is fantastic. We want to get more people involved. This is such an important thing for people to hear.’

Anyone is welcome to attend the talk on April 14, which will begin at 6.30pm.
