POLICE and organisers said they were happy with the behaviour of the majority of festival visitors.

A Hampshire Constabulary Twitter account tweeted late on Saturday night saying: ‘Of the tens of thousands who have enjoyed today’s Victorious Festival, only a dozen arrests have been made so far.’

Earlier on in the day, the same account tweeted that two people had been detained on suspicion of counterfeit money and possession of drugs. But the police have said that all incidents were small.

James Ralls, organiser of the festival, said yesterday evening that he was aware of only five people not being allowed in. He said: ‘We haven’t had anything serious happening which is great.’

Details about any arrests and charges are due to be released by police tomorrow.
