FOOTAGE here shows the RNLI joining emergency services in the rescue operation after a car cargo ship ran aground and tipped on its side in the Solent last night.

The 51,000-tonne Hoegh Osaka car transporter was on its way to Germany when it ran into trouble near to the Isle of Wight.
