WITH live music and delicious cakes, people enjoyed a relaxing afternoon at a pub.

The Coach House Pub, in Gosport, welcomed duo Vintage Gold to perform as part of the Macmillan Coffee event.

Trish Trigwell and Jenny White sang 50s tunes to people enjoying coffee and home-made cakes baked by the staff.

Julie Mallec, owner of the pub on Fareham Road, said it was an enjoyable afternoon for everyone.

‘People seemed to enjoy listening to Jenny and Trish so it was a good afternoon,’ she said.

‘The Macmillan coffee events are a really great cause and everyone I know has been affected by cancer in some way whether they had it themselves or know someone who had it.

‘The charity is so supportive and does great work.’

The pub is looking to raise as much as possible with its cake sale.

Julie added: ‘All the money from the cakes and the coffee will be donated to the charity.

‘We want to raise as much as we can.’

A number of Macmillan coffee mornings have been held in the area.

Julie said: ‘A few of the ladies who came to see us had been to other coffee events in the morning so it is a great event people enjoy.’
