A CHARITY is calling for more people to get involved in the work it does.

The Fareham branch of Brendoncare is in need of volunteers to stop people aged 65 or over from feeling isolated or alone.

The Winchester-based charity has groups across Hampshire and needs more volunteers, especially in Fareham.

The charity offers an alternative to loneliness and isolation through its 72 friendship and well-being clubs which welcome older people to socialise and share common interests.

To find out more information on Brendoncare or to sign up as a volunteer visit its website at brendoncare.org.uk/volunteers or call 01962 852 133.
