ORGANISERS for Portsmouth Pride are looking for volunteers to help with setting up the festival and parade.

They will be holding a volunteer training and briefing session today at the John Pounds Centre at 23 Queen Street, Portsmouth at 11am, and are encouraging those interested to come along.

John Perry, Pride’s joint parade co-ordinator, said: ‘Staging the Pride Parade and Festival is a major logistical operation and we rely on volunteers in the run-up, on the day and in the clear-up. Volunteering with Pride is a great way to help your community.’
