A yacht coming to the city will become the first to cross the globe with a crew of people with multiple sclerosis.
The Oceans of Hope is due to arrive in Gunwharf Quays between July 3 and 6.
It is part of a campaign of the same name, organised by the Danish Sailing Sclerosis Foundation.
The 17-month project aims to change the perception of the chronic disease.
The crew left from Amaliehaven on June 15 on their 33,000-nautical mile voyage.
They will stop over at 20 ports of call on the journey.
After Portsmouth, the crew will visit La Rochelle, France, then Lisbon, Portugal and across the Atlantic Ocean to Boston, Massachusetts, in America on September 8.
