FIREFIGHTERS were called to two separate bin fires after disposable barbecues were not put out properly.

The Southsea crew was called to Castle Field at 9.10pm and again at 10.35pm on Sunday.

On both occasions people had disposed of their barbecues but failed to put out the flames fully, which meant the bins caught alight.

The fire service is warning people to ensure flames are fully out.
