ELECTRIC shocks from a brand of inflatable hot tub have been reported to trading standards officers.

The warning follows two incidents in which users of MSpa inflatable Bubble Spa complained they received electric shocks on contact with the water.

An investigation by Dutch authorities identified the probable cause was a defect in the heating element.

The advice from Hampshire’s trading standards to anyone who owns a spa of this brand and model is to immediately turn the power off, remove the plug from the socket and to take steps to ensure that it cannot be plugged in by anyone else. People can contact trading standards on 03454 04 05 06.
