DRIVERS are being told to be careful driving on a road as street lights have cut out.

A problem with an underground cable has plunged part of Eastern Road in Portsmouth into darkness.

The area affected is south of the Farlington roundabout and near Tangiers Road, into darkness.

Council contractor Colas and electricity firm Scottish and Southern Energy are working to fix the problem.
