Waterlooville woman in hospital after A27 crash

A woman from Waterlooville is in hospital after a crash on the A27.

Police revealed today that the 32-year-old was driving a white Nissan Juke that collided with a transporter carrying a mobile home at the Fishbourne roundabout at Chichester yesterday lunchtime.

She suffered serious head injuries in the accident and was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital by the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance.

Police said The articulated lorry involved was driven by a 55-year-old man from Hull, Yorkshire. He suffered shock.

The eastbound A27 exit at the Fishbourne roundabout was reopened at around 7.30pm yesterday following the crash at 1.05pm.

Huge queues that built up on the eastbound carriageway were filmed in a timelapse video by Ryan Atfield.
