Wear red to support The Rowans fundraiser

HELP support a scheme to let people have the choice to spend their last few days at home by sporting something ruby red.

To keep Dorothy’s Dream going, The Rowans Hospice in Purbrook is asking people to take part in Ruby Slipper Day.

Schools, businesses and organisations are invited to wear anything red on Friday, February 10, and raise money for the hospice and home appeal.

Community fundraiser at The Rowans Lesley Woodcock said: ‘So far, we’ve got seven businesses and three schools on board.

‘We still have a few weeks left, so we’re hoping to get more people on board.

‘If you are taking part then please contact us and we can help you out with providing collection buckets.’

Participants are asked to donate £2 on the day. Schoolchildren are invited to make a donation of £1.

To register, visit rowanshospice.co.uk and fill out an online form.

You can donate by texting Dream to 70800 to donate £5.

You will be charged £5 plus your standard network rate.
