Portsmouth is likely to see more windy and wet weather this week, the Met Office has said.

The latest forecast for the next few days shows temperatures reaching up to 10C, but strong breezes are likely to make it seem several degrees colder.

There will be some occasional rain, especially on Monday and Wednesday, but these are expected to overlap with brighter spells later in the week.

The heaviest rain is likely to fall on Monday afternoon, and temperatures could be as low as 4C.

Forecasters have also warned of possible hail and thunder early in the week in the south east.

Some overnight frost could appear, with a band of cloud and rain moving east later in the week.
