AN INSPIRATIONAL little boy got the chance to rub shoulders with the stars at a fundraising ball.

Seven-year-old Finley Fairs was among the guests of honour at the Caudwell Children Diamond Butterfly Ball.

The youngster, from Bognor Regis, has cerebral palsy. He attended the event at Battersea Evolution in Battersea Park along with A-list stars Rod Stewart, Peter Andre, Sir Bruce Forsyth and actor Anthony Head.

The charity recently supported Finley and his family in a bid to raise £25,000 to get the youngster a life-changing operation called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy.

The operation, which took place last month, will allow Finley to walk independently for the first time.

Caudwell Children was founded in 2000 by entrepreneur and philanthropist John Caudwell.
