FIREFIGHTERS were called to put out a wheelie bin in a suspected arson attack.

The bin, next to garages in High Drive, Gosport, caught light at 2am on Saturday morning.

Two fire engines were called to deal with the blaze – one from Fareham and one from Gosport.

The crews feared the fire may spread to neighbouring garages and worked quickly to contain the fire.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue said it was unsure of the cause and the fire was suspicious.
