Have your say

Helping people locate friends and family they’ve lost contact with.

BRYANT: I am trying to contact Herbert (Bert) Knight whose last address was Mr Fegan’s Homes, Bucks, or the Training Farm, Goudhurst, Kent, way back in the late 1940s and early 1950s.

His home was in Portsmouth and I believe he lives somewhere in the city.

My name is Bob Bryant and I was also in this boys’ home at the same time but since leaving have lost contact with him. Hopefully, with your help I can contact him.

NORTHERN GRAMMAR: The 1964 intake of Northern Grammar School for Girls is planning a reunion on June 22 in Portsmouth.

SPARKS: We are two American brothers who will be visiting Portsmouth and Fareham shortly and thought it would be a fine idea to meet possible relatives with our same last name Sparks.

A brief bit of history is that we are descendants of Thomas Sparkes and Joane Davies who married in the Parish Church of St. Peter and St. Paul Fareham in 1635. Their son William emigrated to Queen Anne’s County, Maryland in 1662 starting our Sparks line in America.

PROSPECT: We are holding a couple of events on June 15 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Prospect Football Club, so if you were a member of the club, having perhaps played for Prospect/Prospect Farm/AFC Prospect/Prospect Reserves or Prospect Youth and would like more information on the events, contact one of the committee members.
