SHOPPERS in Whiteley are being asked to dig out their unwanted clothes and other items in order to help the British Heart Foundation’s biggest stock donation appeal.

The charity aims to get one million bags during its campaign, which takes place until October 5.

Whiteley Shopping Centre’s independent stores including Solent Cycles, Sweets & Treats, Little Soles, Xpress Beauty, Fabulous Bakers and Whiteley Fruiterers will be giving out charity bags and asking shoppers to fill them with clothes, books, homeware, toys, CDs, and DVDs.

There will be a collection point near the centre’s management office.

Centre manager Neil Carter said: ‘It’s the perfect opportunity to have a clear-out and donate any unwanted items, raising vital funds to support those in our community who are living with heart disease.’
