SEND in your nominations for lollipop person of the year.

Portsmouth City Council is asking children and parents alike to nominate their favourite. Sue McDermott, school crossing patrol co-ordinator said: ‘These dedicated people come out be it rain or shine to make sure our children have a safe journey to and from school each day.’

The winner will receive a trophy at a presentation, and a badge to wear on their jacket.

To nominate someone send their name, school, and no more than 50 words or a picture to explain why they should win to Sue McDermott, School Crossing Patrol Co-ordinator, Road Safety Team, Portsmouth City Council, Civic Offices, Portsmouth, PO1 2NE. The closing date is Friday, May 18.
