Pompey defender Johnny Ertl on why Portsmouth should be awarded the City of Football title and earn £1.6m from Sport England

Football is the heartbeat of Portsmouth and if we were to win the title City of Football and the £1.6m, it would benefit the whole community.

I have seen the great work that Pompey in the Community, Faith & Football and other groups do through football in the city.

The money would enable us to do so much more.

Let’s all get behind Pompey’s bid to be England’s first City of Football!
