a PRESTIGE car garage is offering a top prize for people who enter its competition as part of a fundraiser for Blue Day.

Porsche in Portsmouth has signed up to take part in this year’s event on Friday and is giving someone the chance to drive one its cars. The garage in North Harbour will give one lucky winner a Porsche Boxster to drive for the day.

All money raised from the competition will be donated to the Tom Prince Cancer Trust which was set up in memory of 15-year-old Tom Prince. He died from the rare bone cancer osteosarcoma in 2004.

Tom was a big Pompey fan and when they reached the FA Cup semi-final in 2008 and were due to play at Wembley Stadium, his parents Clinton and Adele started Blue Day with The News.

Businesses and schools are encouraged to dress up in blue and hold blue-themed activities to raise money.

When they set up the trust in 2004, they wanted to raise £1m for research into osteosarcoma. So far, they have raised £930,000.

It is £2 to enter the Porsche competition. To enter visit tomprince.co.uk and click on the competition button to go to the PayPal competition page. Follow the instructions to make payment– you don’t have to have a PayPal account to take part. Add your name and contact number on the review page so the trust can contact you if you win.

Competition ends May 11. For full terms and conditions visit tomprince.co.uk.
