TWO lifeboats were used to help bring a windsurfer back to safety.

The female windsurfer, from Eastleigh, waved for help after her sail board was causing her problems in the water near Langstone Harbour.

One lifeboat from Portsmouth and a second from Hayling Island helped bring her back to dry land.

The woman was brought back to Hayling Island, from where she had set off.

Volunteers helped to get her warm as she had become cold in the sea.

She did not need any other medical assistance.

Solent Coastguard were called yesterday at 3.15pm.
