YOUNG and old have been making the most of the wintry weather at a beauty spot.

Hundreds of people have enjoyed the Winter Wonderland event at Queen Elizabeth Country Park, near Clanfield.

Paul Knight, from Hambledon, and his daughter Emma, seven, had a go on the ice skating rink.

Emma's mum Audrey Halter, 38, said: 'It was the first time on the ice for Emma and she enjoyed it.'

Ice skating was just one of a host of activities on offer at the park.

There was a ride for children to enjoy, as well as craft making and a laser shooting game.

Lorraine Webb, manager at the park's cafe, which is owned by event organiser Lime Food Design, said: 'Considering the weather, it all went pretty well.

'We have had to shut a few days early because of the weather and getting deliveries.

'We have had lots of people at the marquee.

'There were craftspeople selling their wares and a sweet stall.

'It was well supported by local businesses.'
