FIREFIGHTERS had to cut a woman out of a car after an accident in Southwick, just outside Fareham.

Emergency services were called to Bridge Street on the B2177 at around 5.10pm yesterday.

Police say the female had been involved in a single vehicle collision after her Vauxhall Corsa had come off the road.

Three fire appliances were at the scene to assist the woman who was trapped in her car.

Two fire engines from Portchester fire station and another from Cosham attended the accident.

The woman received treatment from paramedics but police said that her injuries were not believed to be serious.
