AN INQUEST has been opened into the death of a young woman who was killed in a car crash in Italy.

Louise Black died on October 22 following a road traffic accident while she was on holiday.

The 24-year-old, who lived in London and was originally from Petersfield, worked for luxury travel operator Scott Dunn, which has offices in Chichester and London.

A tribute from the firm said: ‘Lou joined Scott Dunn in September 2009 and quickly became a much-loved colleague and friend to so many people here.

‘Over the last two years Lou had developed into a fantastic team player and skilled Africa travel consultant, always ready to support her co-workers and go out of her way to help our guests.

‘The messages of condolence that have flooded in from her guests and the wider Africa travel industry are a testament to her wonderful personality and the positive impact she had on everyone she met, however briefly, with her infectious laugh, ready wit and warm heart.’

The inquest was opened by Portsmouth Coroner David Horsley and a hearing will take place at a later date.
