A WOMAN has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being involved in a collision with a bus in Gosport.
Police confirmed that the 35-year-old, from the town, remains at Southampton General Hospital after the incident last night.
As previously reported in The News, according to eye-witnesses the woman was hit by an Eclipse bus.
The road was closed by officers to protect evidence.
A spokesman from Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘We were called at 7.24pm to reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a bus at Henry Cort Way.
‘A 35-year-old woman from Gosport suffered serious injuries and was taken to Southampton General Hospital where she remains.
‘No arrests have been made.’
South Central Ambulance Service sent one ambulance and a rapid response vehicle. They confirmed a woman suffered multiple injuries.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Roads Policing Unit on 101 quoting Operation Boggart.
