KIND-HEARTED Emily Moore has organised a fun day to raise money for a charity after it helped her grandmother.

The day of activities has been arranged by the 21-year-old to say thank you to Macmillan Cancer Support after it provided nurses when her grandmother was diagnosed with cancer.

Kathy Gale, 71, from Fareham, has now beaten the disease and, four years on, she is looking forward to the fundraising day.

Miss Moore, from Fareham, said: ‘I wanted to say thank you for what they have done for my nan.

‘This is the first time I’ve organised something like this, but I thought it would be a lovely way to show my appreciation.’

There will be cake sales, face painting, competitions, live music and dancing from 10am until 3pm on Saturday at Whiteley Shopping Centre.
