POLICE cordoned off a railway footbridge over concerns for a woman’s safety.

They were called at 12.15pm yesterday to the railway footbridge between Third Avenue and Fourth Avenue, at the bottom of Eastern Road, Havant.

Paramedics were also at the scene where police officers were helping a vulnerable woman.

The woman was checked over by paramedics but was unharmed.

The bridge reopened at 2.40pm.
