WORK is set to recommence today on repairing the damaged stretch of sea defences in Southsea.

Emergency work to fix the promenade, which collapsed on Boxing Day, will continue after a brief lull over the new year’s period.

The final chunks of small and medium granite will arrive today, while tomorrow will see the first delivery of larger rocks from Cornwall to shore up the defences.
