SOME footpaths will be closed temporarily while overhead power lines are upgraded.

The work will be carried out on the lines between Botley Wood and Lovedean between now and September.

Vegetation around the pylons has been cut back and temporary tracks have been installed to access the pylons.

Roads below the lines will remain open but some temporary traffic lights will be installed. Project manager Carl Davies said: ‘This vital work will help ensure the lights stay on and people keep on enjoying safe and reliable electricity supplies.
