World Cup stickers craze

WORLD Cup stickers have been flying off the shelves in Portsmouth, a supermarket’s research has revealed.

Portsmouth is the sixth biggest buyer of Panini’s World Cup stickers, fuelled by middle-aged men in their thirties, according to data from Tesco’s clubcard scheme.

Top of the list is Colchester followed by Braintree, Southport, Merseyside and York.

The stickers are of players from each of the World Cup nations and eight million packets are sold every day.
