TWO sailors suffered minor head injuries after they were hit by their yacht’s boom.
Solent Coastguard was called at 11am yesterday by a crew who were sailing in the Solent, between Stokes Bay, in Gosport, and Ryde, on the Isle of Wight.
Two men on board had been hit by the as the sails changed direction in the wind.
One of the men, aged 41, fell overboard but was pulled to safety.
The crew continued their journey to Cowes, where medics treated them for their injuries.
