YOUNGSTERS put themselves in the picture as part of a workshop to mark a new photography exhibition.
Gosport Gallery in Walpole Street, Gosport, is currently showing the Lawrence Collection, with images of the town throughout the last century.
To celebrate the exhibition, the under-fives at the Flash, Bang Wallop! storytime special got to hear stories about photography and cameras, before trying their hand at making their own picture frames.
And then, wearing hats from the Gosport Museum’s collection, they took pictures to put in them.
Education officer Wendy Redman, said the exhibition has become a big draw for young and old in Gosport, wanting to see what the town used to look like.
‘The exhibition is very popular, but this is to make it a place for young people as well,’ she said.
‘They loved trying on the hats and putting on all sorts of poses.
‘We had some great pictures.’
The exhibition includes pictures from the archive of the Lawrence family, who first set up a photographic firm in 1890.
It runs until February 26.
