A SPECTACULAR evening of music and entertainment will take place at the Portsmouth Guildhall tonight as part of Portsmouth Festivities.

Sing Out Pompey will feature schoolchildren and community choirs from across the city singing original songs about Portsmouth.

The concert starts at 7pm.

Another highlight of today’s events will be a performance by the bassoon player Amy Harman which will take place at Portsmouth Grammar School at 1pm.

There will also be performances of the youth-focused musical Uluzuzulalia at Portsmouth Central Library at 10.30am and 1.30pm. There will be a choral evensong event at Portsmouth Anglican Cathedral at 6pm, followed by a performance by the St John’s Chapel Choir at 7.30pm.
