PUPILS from Crofton Anne Dale Infant School received citizenship awards from their local MP.
Caroline Dinenage MP, visited the school in Cuckoo Lane, Stubbington, recognising the work of pupils in Year 2.
Pupils were rewarded for being innovative and for working hard in the community, and if they regularly take part in a hobby that benefits the community.
Ms Dinenage was proud to present the pupils with their awards and said: ‘It is wonderful to see young people taking part in activities which will help them become citizens who are mindful of our community and actively involved in society.
‘This initiative encourages young people to take part in extra-curricular activities from an early age and I was delighted to hear from all the pupils.’
Since her election win in May, Ms Dinenage says she has visited all 41 schools in her constituency and has taken an interest in education issues and has helped to secure an additional £13m in funding for schools in the area.
