BUDDING filmmakers have the chance to show of their abilities in a national competition.

The News has teamed up with the National Youth Film Festival Awards, which showcases the UK’s best teenage filmmakers.

To enter you need to be up to 19 years old and produce a film no longer than three minutes based on what ‘Round My Corner’ means to you.

Films should focus on the themes of family, friends and local neighbourhoods.

News editor Mark Waldron said: ‘I am delighted that the The News is taking part in such an exciting project.

‘In this digital age the technology is getting smarter all the time and the ability to film and edit has never been more accessible.

‘I can’t wait to see the finished projects.’

Entries must be in by October 11.
