Young singers aged five to 19 are invited to join one of Hampshire County Council’s music service vocal ensembles.

A fourth choir is being added by the county to its trio of existing choirs, in response to increasing demand from children and young people.

Membership is open to all pupils who are in full-time school or college education.

Priority will be given to Hampshire residents first, and then to non-Hampshire pupils who attend schools and colleges in the county.

Rehearsals take place during term time on Friday evenings at The United Church in Winchester.

The four choirs are Hampshire County Youth Choir, Hampshire County Youth Training Choir, Hampshire County Youth Junior Choir and Hampshire County Foundation Choir.

Potential members are asked to register their interest as soon as possible, in order for music service staff to hear them sing.
