TODAY our popular Second World War book series returns – giving you the chance to finally complete your collection.

Last year readers weren’t able to snap up the last eight copies – editions 17 to 24 – because its publishers Paperview UK Ltd went bust.

But we’ve been working hard to get a new supplier to make sure people didn’t miss out.

And from today you can pick up the rest of the the collection again.

Mark Waldron, editor of The News, said: ‘We’re really sorry that we had to let readers down last year through circumstances that were beyond our control.

‘We realise readers were upset that they couldn’t finish their collections. I’m delighted that we are now able to offer the remaining books in the series.’

Volume by volume, the series tells the story of the war, in detailed and authoritative text and photographs.

The titles can be bought from newsagents across Portsmouth, Fareham, Gosport, Waterlooville and Havant from today.

Last time around people were only able to buy one edition a week – but because of the long wait we’re offering all the remaining copies in one go. Each title costs £2.99.

If you have your newspaper delivered then all you have to do is contact the retailer who handles your delivery and they will take you through the process of receiving the books.

People who have gaps in the series from 1 to 16 will be relieved to know they can buy back copies from their local newsagent as well.

All you need to do is tell staff which ones you need and they’ll order them in.

They’ll then inform you when they’re ready to pick up.

You can also pick up copies from The News offices in Hilsea, Portsmouth, Fareham, Gosport and Havant. The remaining titles are; Operation Bagration, The Home Fronts, Burma and China, From Arnhem to the Rhine, The Holocaust, The Battle for Berlin, The Surrender of Japan and Total War.
