A man who regularly travelled abroad to abuse young children has been told he may spend the rest of his life in jail.
Trevor Sharpe, of Goldcrest Close, Horndean, pleaded guilty to 62 offences at Portsmouth Crown Court, including engaging with sexual activity with a child and possession of child pornography.

The court the 50-year-old would travel to the Ukraine and film himself abusing young girls as young as seven over a period of four years.

He also downloaded more than 26,000 images of children being abused from the internet.

Judeg Richard Price gave him an indeterminate sentence for public protection, and told him he will not be eligible for parole for two years and a month.

The judge said: 'In my judgement you are a highly dangerous man so far as children are concerned.'
