A popular pub run by a well-known Irish musician is celebrating its 10th anniversary.
Herbie Armstrong will be throwing a celebration at The Fountain Inn, in The Green, Rowlands Castle, on Thursday, December 3.

It's now 10 years since the guitarist and singer - who played with Van Morrison -took over the pub. It has since gained a reputation as a live music destination with punters travelling from far and wide to listen to acts.

Mr Armstrong said: 'With the recession and the smoking ban I don't think many pubs thought they would make it through the last two years.

'We have got a really strong following at the pub.

'It's been the music that has made the pub.

'People come here, get up and play and the kids love it.

'We get all kinds of people in here. That's what great about music - it brings people together.'

The party takes place between 8pm and 11pm. Among the acts will be Matt O'Neil from The Superheroes.
